RIT HOCKEY: FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Where do I park?
U-Lot and D-lot are the most convenient lots. Please see the parking page for handicapped parking, maps, and other parking details.

When should I arrive? Can I get tickets at the door? Will I be guaranteed a seat?
If available, tickets will go on sale at 10am on the day of the game at the Gene Polisseni Center. The doors will open 60 minutes prior to game time. A reserved chair back or club section ticket must be purchased to guarantee a seat.

My child is under the age of 2. Do I need a ticket for him/her? 
No, children 2 and under do not need a ticket in the reserved chair back or club section. However, children must sit on the adults lap and not occupy another seat.

Do I need a ticket for my 4 year old? 
Children 2 and under do not need a ticket but must sit on an adults lap. Children between the ages of 3 and 5 will need a ticket as they will be occupying a seat.

I am a general admission season ticket holder but would like to 'upgrade' my tickets to the reserved section for 1 game. How much is it?
A new ticket would be purchased at full price. Season tickets are discounted to give the fans maximum value. This discount is only offered when season tickets go on sale through the first home game.

I ordered my tickets over the phone by calling the Box Office. How do I get my tickets?
Currently, tickets ordered over the phone can be delivered 1 of 3 ways, Email, Will Call or Mail. There is no fee for Email, $3.00 delivery fee for will call, and $4.00 delivery fee for mail.

I lost my tickets. Can they be replaced?
-Most of the time tickets can be reprinted if lost or stolen. Photo ID is required and tickets will only be issued to the original purchaser. The lost/stolen tickets will be deactivated and new tickets will be issued. Only new tickets, with new bar codes, will be permitted to enter the Gene Polisseni Center. Is there re-entry?
No, re-entry WILL NOT be permitted.

Are cameras, radios and cell phones allowed?
Cell phones, radios and small cameras are allowed. No professional photography equipment is permitted. No flash photography permitted during play.

Can I bring my RIT flag and/or cardboard signs into Gene Polisseni Center?
Yes, but signs deemed negative by arena management and security will be confiscated. No signs are to be posted on glass.

Am I allowed to bring in a thermos of hot chocolate or food?
Thermoses, coolers, cups, bottles, cans, flasks, alcoholic beverages, or containers of any kind are not allowed. Aerosol and spray cans are also not permitted.

Am I allowed to bring in backpacks and book bags?
Backpacks are NOT allowed. Personal bags are allowed. All bags will be searched upon entering the arena.

I am a RIT student. How many tickets can I buy at the student price? 
There is a limit of 4 discounted tickets (student, faculty, staff, alum) per eligible person, per game. Valid RIT ID/UID is required to receive applicable discounts. For free student, faculty/staff, and alumni tickets to the women's games there is a limit of 4 per valid RIT ID. For season tickets, there is a limit of 4 per valid RIT ID. The General Public price will charged for any tickets over the applicable limit.
